Bean, born in San Francisco in1870, joined the Department Julyi, 1894,as hosemanof Engine No. 19; transferredto Engine No. 29 July 15, 1895, promotedassistant foreman July i, 1897 and nowranks as lieutenant of Engine No. 29. Jf. JOHN BARRY John Barry was born in San Franciscoin 1861. He entered the Department in1891 as relief engineer and now ranksas engineer of Engine No. 29.
