When she swept into Port Royal flying the Stars and Stripes, she wastaken for a blockade-runner until her identity was learned. The officers of the blockading squadronwere handsomely entertained aboard her during her stay, and were glad to get the news she broughtfrom the North. On her way back to New York she was frequently mistaken for a blockade-runnerand chased. In the lower picture is seen one of the monitors stationed in Ossabaw Sound.
