The Parque Cretacico, the new Dinosaur park set up to overlook the Dinosaur footprints at the Cal Orko Mountain Sucre, Bolivia

In 1994 the world’s largest collection of dinosaur footprints were found in the Cal Orko mountain at a cement works just outside Sucre in Bolivia. The are some 500 prints from at least 150 types of dinosaur including brontosaurus, tyrannosaurus Rex, three horned triceratops, carnivorous alosaurus. The footprints were made between 65 and 85 million years ago on a flat bed of mud or sand. They became fossilised and as the Andes were created the flat bed became a cliff face. A park called Parque Cretacico has been opened for tourists to view the prints.
