The coil is of the non-vibrating, open core type. Theprimary winding consists of two layers of wire woundaround an iron wire core. This primary is secured in alaminated tube having 1/16 in. thickness of wall andcomposed of layers of Kraft paper and varnishedpaper. The secondary, which is made in two sections, ismounted on the outside of this tube.
