Urquhart Castle on the shore of Loch Ness just south of Inverness in the village of Drumnadrochit, amidst the Highlands of Scotland. The castle dates back to the 13th century and was in use until 1692. At left, is the remnants of Grant Tower. Today the castle ruins are a popular tourist destination.
