MAYPORT, Fla. (Nov. 24, 2016) – Capt. Joseph O’Brien, executive officer of amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), and Petty Officer 3rd Class Daniel Brackett ceremonially cut the Thanksgiving cake on the ship's mess decks. Iwo Jima recently returned to her homeport after participating in Veterans Week New York City 2016 to honor the service of all our nation's veterans.
