After twenty-five years of constant investigationinto the many and various phases ofthis subject, and with almost dailyrealizations of somewhat of the infinitegoodness embosomed in these highprivileges, I can most solemnly affirm,and I do now make the declaration,that the nine propositions indictment, are mostly errors and hurtful the-ories—injurious in their effect upon the individualjudgment, and still more injurious when made thefoundation of faith and practice. They belong to theage of broom-riding witches ; to the shallow doctrines.
