The Passage des Princes was built in 1860 and then destroyed in 1985 and rebuit again exaftly equal in 1995. This passage is dedicated to shops of toys, games, scale models and video games. It is located on the border between the 2nd and 9th arronissement. The Parisian covered passages were built between the late 18th century and the mid-19th century in order to house shops and restaurants. These arcades covered with glass roofs connecting two streets were an architectural innovation at that time. From the 150 galleries that existed in 1850 only 20 remain nowadays. Each passage has its own special character and they have become a typical Parisian feature.
