He continued as Cashier ofthis institution and as a dealer in real estate forabout twelve years. In 1877 he sold his interestin the bank and turned his attention more entirelyto real-estate loans and mortgages. In 1888 heorganized tlic Michigan Mortgage Company, inwhich he is Chairman of the Board and Businessmanager. He is a born financier and has a thous-and and one schemes for the promotion of business.
