Robotics research. Researcher holding a winged autonomous robotic aircraft. The design is based on the biological principles of self-organisation. The sensors are based on those of flies and bees. This has allowed the construction of small and light robotic aircraft that have neither GPS (satellite navigation), radar, or an altimeter.
