If the cow barn has artificial heating, the inletducts may be omitted; if the barn is without artificial heat,the ventilation is bettered by the inlet ducts. ARTIFICIAL HEAT.—There are differences of opinionwith regard to artificial heat in the cow barn. The tempera-ture of the cow barn need never be over 55 degrees Fahren-heit. On very cold nights this degree of temperature cannotbe maintained in barns whose location is exposed and whichhave not their proper complement of cattle. There neverwas any doubt in the authors mind that properly regulated. A FEATURE MAY BE MADE OF THE MANURE TROLLEY, THOUGH THIS MAY APPEAR TOO AMBITIOUS IN ITS PRESENT NAKED STATE.
