ARLINGTON, Va. (Dec. 5, 2016) The Caisson platoon of the Army’s 3rd Infantry Divison, also known as the Old Guard, leads the funeral procession for prior Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) William “Bill” H. Plackett as it proceeds through Arlington National Cemetery. Plackett, who became the Navy’s sixth MCPON on Oct. 1, 1985, died March 4, 2016, at the age of 78.
