FORT IRWIN, Calif. — An Assassin Troop, 1st Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment Trooper takes aim at an enemy combatant during an air assault mission into Fuldez, in the National Training Center, Jan. 25, 2017. The Blackhorse Regiment partnered with the 2916th Aviation Battalion to conduct the planning and execution of the AASLT mission in order to validate the standard operating procedures of the battalion, enhance the units understanding of aviation capabilities, and solidify the relationship between the two Fort Irwin units.
