Mitchell Decorative Evergreen Co. HARVARD, N. C. Worcester County Hort. Society. The annual meeting of the Worces- ter County Horticultural Society was held in Horticultural hall, Worcester, Mass., Dec. 4, with President Edward W. Breed of Clinton in the chair. Secretary Leonard C. Midgley in his annual report, stated that twelve members of the society died during the year. The report of the treas- urer, Burt W. Greenwood showed the society to be in a strong condition, financially. Other reports were those of the judges on fruits, flowers and vegetables, committees on winter meet- ings, exhibits, medals and the presi- dent's report. In his report. President Breed referred to the death of Hon. Henry A. Marsh and Charles A. Denny, who were members of the so- ciety for sixty years. The follow- ing officers were elected for the en- suing year: Edward W. Breed. Clin- ton, Mass., president; Arthur J. Mar- ble, Charles Greenwood and Herbert R, Kinney, all of Worcester. Mass., vice-presidents; Leonard C. Midgley, Westboro, Mass., secretary; Burt W. Greenwood, Worcester, Mass. treas- urer: Miss Lucy M. Coulson. Worces- ter. Mass., librarian. Jt was voted to appropriate .$.5,500 for the expense of exhibits, meetings, and publications for next vear. M. W. R. Humboldt, Kan.—Fire. starting from an oil stove damaged the green- houses of Wm.
