An equipment has been perfected in Minneapolis by S. and T. B. Hatch, of the Monitor Electric Company,by which such boats can be run by an electric motor andpropeller, as shown in the illustration. This apparatus iscomposed of two parts; the propeller and motor hung onthe outside at the stern, and the battery placed anywherein the bottom of the boat.
