NAVAL BASE KITSAP-BREMERTON, Wash. (July 18, 2016) - Quartermaster Seaman Stephanie Gortarez, a native of Abrams, Wis., raises the ensign in honor of Aviation Ordnanceman 1st Class Albert Sarkis, a fallen Sailor assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Nimitz is currently undergoing an extended planned incremental maintenance availability at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility where the ship is receiving scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
