It will be noted from the curve of figure 2 that the maximum of emergence occurred unusually early—August 3. Throughout the month of August there was a constant and large emergence. The. (Original.) great irregularity of the curve in figure 2 is largely due to the fact that the banded trees from which the rearing material was obtained were only examined once a week.
