The profo ion of its bloom is such as to give the resemblance of roses at a distance, hence one of its Mexican names is " Rosa de Montana," or Mountain Rose. Described by its dis- - as the most beautiful climber he had ever beheld. This plant is moderately hardy, with protection. The vines are killed to the ground by frost, but as this plant has tuber- ous roots it quickly shoots up in the spring and develops its flower from June till frost. 50 cents. ALOCASIA. Lowii.
