210719-N-WQ732-1041 ARABIAN GULF (July 19, 2021) – Patrol coastal ship USS Tempest (PC 2), left, and fast response cutter USCGC Robert Goldman (WPC 1142) operate in formation with guided-missile cruiser USS Monterey (CG 61), in the Arabian Gulf, July 19. Monterey, Tempest and Robert Goldman are deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
