Noted among the stock were two large containers of Laddie carnations, aver- aging three and one-half to four inches in diameter. The color was the best yet of any produced here, said Mr. Smith. The California Florists' shop win- dows were a sight last week for lovers of flowers, and the abundance and qual- ity of the stock were as noted in other places. An interesting event of last week was the trip to Seattle of the Tacoma flo- rists' bowling team and rooters. A grand time was enjoyed and the Tacoma team won. The start from Tacoma was made at I p. m., as time was wanted to visit several florists en route. The first stop was made at the greenhouses of Stuber & Eichardson, at Bryn Mawr. A house of Easter lilies was much ad- mired, being timed just right and of fine quality. The houses of tomatoes and cucumbers were seen and also in fine shape.
