A tapestry window at Blarney Castle in Blarney, County Cork, Ireland. The castle was built in 1446 by Dermot McCarthy and it attracts tourists from all over the world to come to see and kiss the Blarney Stone. To do so is a long-standing tradition said to provide those kiss the stone with inrivaled eloquence. The stone is in a wall below the battlements, and to kiss it requires being suspended outside the wall and extending below the parapet access it. In this scene, tourists can be seen making their way to the point where the Blarney Stone may be kissed.
