Optical cavity apparatus. Optical cavities are used in lasers, interferometers and atomic clocks. This is a rigidly mounted optical cavity designed to be insensitive to inertial forces. The design is based on a cubic geometry (centre) with four supports placed symmetrically about the optical axis in a tetrahedral configuration.
