London, UK. 5 October 2016. Award-winning artist and author Edmund de Waal (pictured) presents a solo exhibition of new work at Gagosian at Frieze London from 6 – 9 October. This new work reflects memories and recollections of people important to the artist including his great grandfather and the poet Paul Celan, or places – Odessa, Cernowitz and Paris. For these elegies, de Waal has introduced alongside his porcelain vessels new materials like graphite, silver and alabaster.
