Pellets of mica rock are expanded under high heat which separates the thin mica sheets and produces a light, fluffy material which is altogether inert and therefore does not contain any harmful micro-organism and, of course, there are no weed seeds. Once it has become saturated with water it represents an excellent material for starting seeds and rooting cuttings. It also has special value for lightening heavy soil. A large number of air spaces between the expended mica gives it outstanding merits for mulching purposes. Although it retains moisture for an exceptionally long time, it never- theless provides plenty of air spaces which are so important for good root growth. l/2 bu. 85c; 2 bu. $ Standard Plant Tubs A splendid plant tub which will give excellent service for a remarkably long time.
