[July, An accurate record of the prevalence of cholera in Bostonin this epidemic may be found in the full and complete re-port of the Internal Health Department for the year 1849.*This document has not unfrequently been misrepresented inlater years by superficial readers, who have reported it asstating the number of cases in the city as 707, and thedeaths 611. These figures would give the impression of anexcessive mortality. The exact words of the report are asfollows : * The subjoined statistics furnish the history of theorigin of 707 cases, 611 of which were fatal.
