Banni tribal dwellings are made of round mud huts called "bhungas" ` with a single central support pole and a thatched or tiled roof, all surrounding a large community courtyard. The women paint both exterior and interior wall and decorate them with small pieces of mirror to encourage light into the house. basically white the vibrant colours are used for decoration and to pick out features such as doors and windows .shining kitchen utensils are displayed on high shelves and a compacted mud floor is kept clean with daily washing and brushing
