Sunset at GranTeCan telescope. Sunset above clouds behind the Gran Telescopio Canarias (GranTeCan) telescope, part of Roque de los Muchachos Observatory, La Palma, Canary Islands. This reflecting telescope has been the world's largest single-aperture optical telescope since it opened in 2009. Operated by institutions from Spain, the USA and Mexico, it is located at an altitude of 2267 metres on the edge of the Caldera de Taburiente region of the island. Photographed on 18 May 2018.
