Colorado River from Dead Horse Point

Dead Horse State Park has stunning views of the La Sal Mountains, eroded cliffs, mesas, buttes and river canyons. At the base of the mesa is an enormous horse-shoe bend, or entrenched meander, carved by the Colorado River. Dead Horse Point was used on location for the final scenes in the film Thelma and Louise.
