S. U. He was elected withoutopposition to the 74th Oeneral Assembly and re-elected in 1901 to the 75th GeneralAssembly. He is a member of the standing committees on Finance, Railroads andTelegraphs and is chairman on Corporations. (416). MR. EAEHART, of Richland County. William H. Earhart was born near Kirksville, Adair county, Mo., on June 20,1858. His father removed to Newark, Ohio, in 1859, and in time located on a farmnear Hanover, Licking county, Ohio, at which place the subject of this sketch attendedthe Hanover graded schools and worked on the farm. He then engaged in teachinglistrict schools, and selling Nursery stock for a number of years. He married adaughter of Dr. Goo. Higgins of Hanover, Ohio. Mr. Earhart located in Lexington,Richland county, Ohio, in 1885, where he engaged in teaching or whatever he couldfind to do that was honorable, his industry and integrity winning to him manyfriends. He was always a faithful and consistent Democrat, and his party hasawarded him in his village and township by electing him to some of its variousoffices. He served as Mayor and as Clerk of his village, and is serving his fourthterm as Justice of the Peace. He filled the office of postmaster for Lexington duringthe Cleve
