Rabbi Arthur Waskow of the Shalom Center with Jewish leaders in front of 45 Park Place in New York

Rabbi Arthur Waskow of the Shalom Center with Jewish leaders in front of 45 Park Place in New York on Thursday, August 5, 2010 show their support for the construction of the Cordoba Initiative mosque and Islamic cultural center on the site. The 152 year old former Burlington Coat Factory building in Lower Manhattan is the site of the proposed mosque and Islamic community center. The site is two blocks from Ground Zero and is opposed by many who don't want a mosque so close to the World Trade Center terrorist attack. (© Richard B. Levine)
