A pair of silver-mounted flintlock pistols, Mathias Karg, Hechingen, circa 1760. Blued, round, smooth bore barrels in 11 mm calibre with extended chambers and silver front sights. A rococo cartouche with a standing stag engraved on top of the barrels The sighting ribs are signed "IN HECHINGEN". Engraved tangs inscribed "1" and "2" respectively, and stamped with the German imperial proofmark. Finely cut flintlocks, each signed "MATHIAS KARG".
