It is possible to hire a long-tail boat to travel from Chiang Rai to Tha Ton in north Thailand. The journey is along the Mae Nam Kok river; the boat is open sided but has a roof covering to protect from sun and monsoon rain. There are model releases available for the western woman and the girl but not for the Thai man and boy in the background (their faces are not readily visible)
