The North Cotswold There are few more picturesque hunting districtsthan the country hunted by the North Cotswoldhounds on the stoney hills, and the grassy valeof Evesham. Those who have never yet seenBroadway, the Worcestershire village in which theNorth Cotswold kennels are placed, have a pleasurein store. It is an old-world spot, with picturesquehouses whose stone roofs are hung over with jessa-mine, honeysuckle, and mountain climbers. Thereis a wide street with a village green and a mostromantic hotel, the resort of American tourists, whoappreciate Broadway and its charms. The kennelsare exactly opposite, nestling under the Cotswold. WESTERN MIDLANDS & SOUTH WALES HUNTS 173 Hills, with a grim old weather-worn tower on thesummit. It has been our good fortune to visit thisfair spot and see sport under three different master-ships, that of Mr Charles P. MNeill, 1901-06, SirJohn Hume Campbell, 1906-10, and the presentmaster Mr C. T. Scott, on each occasion Dan Reidbeing there in charge of the kennels. The Earl of Coventry was the first master between1868-73, his coronet on the hunt-button remaining
