Dixon Free, President of the General Board,Chairman, Executive Committee The General Board has the responsibility of actingon behalf of the Convention when the Conventionis not in session. Matters that affect the direction ofand enhancement of the mission causes andministry endeavors of North Carolina Baptists arethe responsibility of the General Board. TheGeneral Board meets three times annually and iscomposed of North Carolina Baptists from theConvention regions of the state. The Executive Committee has the responsibility ofacting on behalf of the General Board and theConvention when neither is in session. TheExecutive Committee handles the administrative,personnel, and business actions of the Conventionand reports to the General Board and theConvention its actions and recommendations.
