The Dar Mlodziezy leading the Parade of Sail, during the Tall Ships Festival, Dar Mlodziezy ("The Gift of Youth"), is a Polish sail training ship designed by Zygmunt Chore. The ship was launched in November 1981 at the Gdynia shipyard, Poland, and commissioned for service in July 1982 at Gdynia, Her home port is Gdynia. The Dar Mlodziezy is the first Polish-built, ocean-going sailing vessel to circumnavigate the globe (1987 - 88), A massive ship weighing in at 2,946 tons. it is over 108 meters long and carries 32,450 sq ft of sail, fully rigged!
