Turner Contemporary, shown here under construction, is a new Visitor Centre on the coast at Margate in Kent. It has been designed by David Chipperfield and will feature works reflecting Turner's links with the area as well as contemporary art. It contains galleries, a cafe, conference and studio space. It opened in April 2011.
