Nano-machine, conceptual computer artwork. Nano-machines are entities on the scale of nanometres (billionths of a metre). It is hoped that they will one day be used internally to search out and repair problems in the human body. This machine is made of gold as it is the least likely material not to be rejected by the body. It is propelled by a miniature propeller system (upper right) powered by the electrical charges that exist within the human body.
