The method of using is the same as for theother thickenings and the goods may be glazedcalendered etc. This kind of thickening is speciallysuitable for stiffening for bookbinders cloths. 69. Weighted cellulose thickening(Har tmann). Fabrics stiffened by this process are usedchiefly for linings, buckram, plasters for medicalpurposes, dolls clothes, designing paper etc. Ordinary white cellulose well washed andrefined is mixed with potato starch and boiled inan autoclave boiler, constantly stirring.
