Neapolitan Wolf's-bane or Northern Wolf's-bane, Aconitum lycoctonum subsp. neapolitanum, Ranunculaceae. Europe. Syn. Aconitum 'Lamarkii Pyreniacum' Aconitum ranunculifolium. Aconitum lycoctonum (wolf's-bane or northern wolf's-bane) is a species of flowering plant in the genus Aconitum, of the family Ranunculaceae, native to much of Europe and northern Asia. It is found in lowlands to the subalpine zone, mainly in forests and shaded habitats. Upright, clump-forming perennial to about tall, with rounded 7 to 8-lobed dark green leaves, and large panicles of hooded yellow flowers, in mid and late summer.
