Albert Johan Kramer, The Dutch Giant


Albert Johan Kramer (June 15, 1897-April 1976). His birth weight was 19 pounds. At the age of 7 he was said to be already 6 feet 7 inches tall and at the age of 21 his height 7 feet 6 inches. His final height was 7 feet inches tall, although his maximum reported height was 8 feet 9å_ inches. He weighed 364 pounds. He worked as a vaudeville artist in the Netherlands, Germany, UK and USA. His artists' names were Lofty (UK) and Jan van Albert (USA, Europe). He died in 1976, just short of his 79th birthday. Gigantism, also known as giantism, is a condition characterized by excessive growth and height significantly above average. In humans, this condition is caused by over-production of growth hormone in childhood resulting in persons between 7 feet and 9 feet tall.
