Wightman Chapel on the campus of the Scarritt-Bennett Center. Scarritt Bennett Center is a nonprofit conference, retreat and education center in Nashville that began as the Scarritt College for Christian Workers associated with the United Methodist Church in Nashville. It is part of the Scarritt College Historic District with several buildings, including Wightman Chapel, being listed on the US National Register of Historic Places. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., spoke at the chapel in 1957 at a Christian faith conference.
