War Memorial, Ardeley Hertfordshire, in the Shrine and Garden stands in remembrance of the 13 men from the village who gave their lives in World War I and the 2 men who gave theirs in World War II. The Shrine has a marvellous statue of a man holding a shield, a plaque bearing the names of those who fell, and the words “Remember before God the Ardeley men who fell in the wars of 1914-1919 and 1939-1945. To their dear memory we offer this shrine and garden”
