Business in general seems to be some- what better than it was last summer. All kinds of stock are abundant, but there have been some good, orders dur- ing the last few weeks. The last two days of last week showed a slump in the market, but stock was kept moving fairly well. Carnations are beginning to show the effects of the hot weather and the qual- ity is steadily getting poorer. They are coming in plentifully and are being moved only at rock-bottom prices.
