The greatest influence overyouth is youth a I THE UPLIFT SCOUTS ATTEND FALL ROUND-UP Over 500 Boy Scouts from the Ca-barrus District attened the annualFall Round-up at Camp Cabarrus onNovember 11 and 12. The purposeof the Fall Round-up was to round-up strays (boys who had droppedout of scouting) and mavericks(boys who had never joined). Straysand mavericks were corralled, roped,and branded in ceremonies held onSaturday, November 12. All the newscouts inducted since September 1were placed in the corrall. The boyswho secured the memberships wentinto the corrall and brought out themavericks or strays for was done by rubber stamp-ing BSA on the forehead of eachnew scout. A western theme was carried outthroughout the two day event. Theboys dressed western style insteadof wearing their regular boy who did not look westernwas subject to arrest by the sher-iff or deputies patrolling thecamp. A jail was even set up totake care of law-breakers. Friday afternoon was devoted tosetting
