At the same time there has been a definite goal inview, namely, to standardize on a design of which thePointe aux Trembles substation is typical, in which theapparatus is arranged for convenience of operation andat the same time the buildings are bright, well venti- line entering through the roof. Power is supplied tothis substation over a pole line rather than a conduitline on account of its remoteness from the power sta-tion.
