Group of Uros Islander women
The Uros Islanders are a pre-Incan people who live on floating reed islands on Lake Titicaca, Peru. They make the islands which last about thirty years out of totora reeds and use the reeds also to make boats and homes. The islands lie about 5 kilometres away from Puno.
