The group of mines on Reco Mountains includes several well-knownsilver-lead mines, situated at elevations ranging from 5,000 to 7,000 feetabove sea level, on the southern slope of the steep mountains directly northof Sandon and Cody. Of these properties I visited the American Boy, theNoble Five, the Reco, and the Goodenough—Grey Copper. My examina-tion was limited to the properties wherein the
