Harvest of Zinfandel grapes from the Ghirardelli vineyard near Burson in Calaveras County, Northern California. This zinfandel vineyard is the oldest in the county. Grapes are dry farmed. No irrigation or frost protection. Trained without trellissing, the vines are left to grow into small trees. Boxes of zinfandel grapes after picking, waiting for pickup, marked in chalk with the individual picker's initials.
