This airport was built by Khmer Rouge near Kampong Chhnang, in Cambodia. This airport has one concrete runway and few buildings. Today only buffalo of nearby village roam the airport looking for grazing grounds. Khmer Rouge used prisoners for construction of the airport overseen by Chinese engineers. Over 10,000 people died here, their bones scattered around the hills around the airport. This place is one of war crimes site mentioned in the Khmer Rouge tribunal.
