Mossy leaftail gecko (Uroplatus sikorae) on a tree. Leaftail geckos are endemic to Madagascar and some of its surrounding islands. They are nocturnal and arboreal, spending most of their time during the day sleeping head-down amongst plant growth and trees. Like most leaftail geckos, the mossy leaftail's body has developed to look like the bark of the trees it lives on, as a form of camouflage. Photographed in the Montagne des Francais Reserve, Madagascar.
